MICROCONTROLLER BASED TEMPERATURE INDICATOR USING IC DS1620

Here I have designed temperature indicator using IC DS1620. This IC gives direct digital output according to temperature. Hence there is no need to connect external ADC, this is the main advantage. While in case of LM35 output is in the form of analog hence ADC is require before giving data to microcontroller, due to this circuit becomes more sensitive.

I am using LCD display to display temperature, temperature in the range -55 to +125 degree C. can be displayed.

DS1620(SENSOR):
Photo shows DS1620. It very small 8pin IC, it contains inbuilt temperature sensor, gives output in the form of 9bits binary data proportional to the temperature.

IC operates on +5V power supply and power consumption is also less than LM35.

This is working prototype of my design.

This Project Available in working condition.
